HK Pradhan belongs to the Gorkha ethnic community,
which depended fully on natural medicines, from ancient times
to the turn of the 20th century. He is not a qualified doctor
in the modern sense however he has been learning and experimenting
with the medicines since year 1959, when still a school boy.
He started giving the medicines since 1970 to people disgusted
with modern medicines for failure to give them relief from
some particular types of asthma, ear infection, hepatitis,
piles, arthritis, leucorrhoea, spasmodic dysmenorrhea etc.
His medicines have been effective on 80 to 90%
users who have been consulting him at his residence situated
in a semi urban village away from the town. Patients are coming
to him on the basis of recommendation of satisfied users of
his medicines but not on the basis of publicity.
